How It All Began
420XAA started long before it became a brand. In 2014 I traveled to Jamaica chasing a passion for cannabis culture and production. That trip turned into a global journey — California → Jamaica → Mexico → Amsterdam — searching for the highest‑quality strains and the lifestyle that surrounded them.
What I found instead was inconsistency, low quality, and merchandise that didn’t reflect the real 420 lifestyle. Even in Amsterdam, home of the Cannabis Cup, everything was the same: tees and hats with a leaf that didn’t represent the culture I lived and loved.
That frustration planted the seed for 420XAA — Fashion & Lifestyle.
The Moment Everything Changed
Back in Philadelphia, I was running Team Jonathan Fitness, training clients and building community. I grew my own personal supply for wellness and quality — and shared my journey on YouTube as 420colorbuds.
But one client with his own legal problems cooperated with authorities. I became the target. I was arrested and charged with manufacturing and cultivation. I lost my studio. I lost my career. I was placed on house arrest for 11½ to 23 months. And the hardest part — I lost full custody of my daughter.
That pain became purpose.
