With a trip to Jamaica in 2005 following the path of my passion to find and research cannabis and its production.This took me to search out what I believed would be the growth of the best ‘weed’ available in the world. From California to Jamaica, Jamaica to  Mexico, from Mexico to Amsterdam-my search was in vain. The quality and variety of strands producing either medical relief or recreational pleasure was sorely lacking. Moreover, during these travels, I was always looking for gifts and memorabilia to bring back to my friends and family. Especially in Amsterdam, renowned for its marijuana industry, and home to the Cannabis Cup, disappointed again! The gift items were limited to tees and hats with a picture of a leaf; leaves which are neither smoked nor a proper symbol for the 420 which we enjoy! Thus, the birth of 420xaa, Fashion and Lifestyle.

READING The HIGH TIMES MAGAZINE, famous for 420 cultivation and users, I was led to the idea of growing my own supply for superior 420! As my success and skill grew, I started to post videos of my experiences on YouTube at “420colorbuds”. Why don’t you check them out! Going back a bit, at the time, I was a fitness czar as the owner of Team Jonathan Fitness and found that many of my clients were smokers too. Though the growth of marijuana plants was for my personal use, I sometimes shared a smoke with some clients. Philadelphia, PA-home of 420xaa! To my misfortune, one of my training clients had legal issues of his own and became a “snitch”…he turned me over to the “Alphabet Boys”-AK47”s in hand. To jail I went accused of manufacturing and cultivation of marijuana! The end result was bail, house arrest for 111/2 to 23 months, the loss of my studio, training career, and the birth of 420xaa-a fashion-forward line of designed apparel and accessories to lead the 420 movement and lifestyle.
